Child Recliners and Shipping

You have gone ahead and ordered a child recliner as a gift for your little one. Did you know that there are a couple of things you can do before you receive the chair as well as when you receive it that can make the purchase smoother for you?

First of all, child recliners all come in the maximum size box that can be handled by UPS, Federal Express and the United States Postal Service. This means that your package is likely in one of these systems. When your package ships your vendor should send you an email letting you know which company it shipped with and what the tracking number is.

If your package shipped UPS or FedEx, you are in real luck. Did you know that both of these companies will allow you to change the time and place of delivery before the package is delivered? If you decided that you need it delivered to your work instead of your home, just email your vendor and ask them to change the delivery location. Most companies shipping child recliners use FedEx Home Delivery service, which even allows you to ask for delivery in the evening or on weekends!

Once you’re child recliner arrives, be sure to inspect the package. If you can see rips in the box and know that the chair has been damaged, refuse the shipment. Refusing the shipment sends the package back to the vendor quickly. Most good vendors will not even wait to receive the damaged chair before cross shipping a new chair to replace it. You may even want to ask about this before buying. In my experience, however, the need for this is very limited, affecting less than 1% of the chairs we’ve shipped.

If you’re not a home when your package arrives, it will likely be left on your porch. In this case you don’t have the opportunity to refuse the package if it’s damaged. Open your package and inspect it as soon as possible. If there is damage notify your vendor immediately. A good store will not only cross ship you a replacement, but will also issue call tags to the shipping service, having them pick up the damaged chair so you don’t have to ship it yourself.

Shipping services are pretty much all the same. What will make the most difference to you is your vendor’s willingness to resolve any problem that does arise. Be sure to find out about shipping and return policies before you buy!

To Whom It May Concern: I don’t know who I need to thank for such a great product. We are very impressed with the recliner and our little girl’s face says it all as she sits in her chair and says “Like PaPa’s!” She likes it so much she kisses it almost every time she sits down. This is a kid who has almost everything her grandparents can think to buy her! Thanks again,

Last night I received the 7 button black vinyl chair I ordered for my 16 month old son and I had to tell you how trilled I am with not only the quick shipping but the chair is totally AWESOME!! My son got excited as soon as he saw the big box on the front porch and when we pulled the chair out he squealed and jumped right in. He loves it!! He sat in it most of the night. I haven't seen that little boy that calm in a very long time. The chair was in perfect condition and the quality far exceeds what I expected. Thank you so much for offering quality items for children to enjoy. I am so happy and will be back to shop again with your company soon.
